Sometimes I feel as if I’m in constant motion, constantly planning my next move and mapping out my next adventure. I've dedicated the last six years of my life to growing the World Class Academy — a unique college-preparatory school for top kiteboarders, rock climbers and white water kayakers. I also work as a freelance writer.
I have a competitive personality. I always have, and I probably always will. This internal drive has pushed me to achieve on a variety of playing fields. As a student-athlete at the University of Denver, I graduated with honors with a B.A. in journalism with a focus on photography and a minor in business. I was also a member of the NCAA Division I ski team, winning two National Championships in the four years I participated. I’ve carried this balance of intellectual stimulation and athletic challenge into my post-college life. I’m a proven writer who is dedicated to sharing inspiring stories that spark conversation and broaden understanding. I enjoy new challenges and welcome the opportunity to write and create for a variety of audiences.
I was born to amazing parents who emphasized the importance of building human relationships. I spent a majority of my childhood in picturesque Hood River, OR — an amazing playground with mountains for skiing, trails for biking, a river for kiteboarding and friends who stick around for a lifetime.
